Difference between hard oil film and soft oil film
1.Hard oil film

2.Soft oil film
Soft oil film is usually colorless and transparent or light yellow, and the film layer formed is thin, soft and easy to wipe, which is suitable for short-term rust prevention. Soft oil film uses light oil components and contains a small amount of anti-corrosion additives. It is mainly used for short-term protection of crankshafts between processes. This type of oil film is easier to remove. Generally, it can be removed by simply wiping or using a mild cleaning agent, which is convenient for subsequent operations.

Why do we need to remove the oil film from the crankshaft before installation?
